LEGAL PROCEEDINGS, 1912.
It is a matter for satisfaction that, apart from the proceedings
under the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts, only four other summonses
were needed.
One being for not supplying particulars as to a house let in
lodgings. The summons was, however, withdrawn, as the information
was supplied immediately after the summons was served.
One for insanitary conditions, a closing order being made by
the Magistrate with 3s. costs.
And one being for contravention of the By-laws relating to
the non-deposit of plans, in not giving notice of intention to carry
out sanitary alterations, and one for carrying out work contrary to
the By-laws, which was again, after several adjournments, withdrawn
by arrangement.
