Bones and Joints. There were 2 deaths from diseases of
bones and joints.
Integumentary System. There were 5 deaths, 1 from Pemphigus,
and 4 to other and ill-defined causes.
External Causes. There were 47 deaths given as due to
causes grouped under this heading; 42 were the result of accident
or negligence, and the remaining 5 were from Suicide.
Suffocation, by being overlaid in bed, was the cause of death
of 1 child under five years of age; 7 cases were from drowning,
while accidents on railways, in vehicular traffic and in building
operations and falls, etc., were responsible for 34 deaths.
The Suicides were by poison in 3 cases, 1 by cut or stab, and
1 from Drowning.
There was also one death, cause of which was not ascertained,
in East Greenwich.
