VITAL AND MORTAL STATISTICS, 1912.
POPULATION.
The number of persons estimated to be living at the middle
of the year is 95,992. This estimate is an increase of ten upon
the corresponding figure of last year.
Up to the present time the complete Census reports have not
been received from the Registrar-General. We have only been
favoured with a total of the population enumerated in the Borough
at the recent Census for the purpose of the statistical returns.
Full details will be supplied later.
During the year the Registrar-General, with the sanction of
the Local Government Board, has made certain slight alterations
in the boundaries of the registration sub-districts of East and
West Greenwich, in so far as the entire North-West and South
Wards of the Borough of Greenwich are transferred from Greenwich
East to Greenwich West. This order coming into force on
1st June, 1912.
The distribution of the population throughout the Borough is as follows:—
