LEGAL PROCEEDINGS, 1909.
It is a matter for satisfaction that, apart from the proceedings
under the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts, only eight other
summonses were needed, three being for smoke nuisances; one
for having an occupied house without a proper and sufficient
water supply; one for deficiency of water closet accommodation;
one for having the premises dirty; one under By-laws with
reference to paving of yards; and one for having no name or
address on an ice cream barrow or stall.
