Senile Mortality.—The deaths which occurred in Hackney
during the year at 65 years and upwards numbered 886, and of
these 441 occurred between the ages of 65 and 75 years, 340
between the ages of 75 and 85 years, and 105 were at the ages
of 85 years and upwards. The annual mortality rate of persons
of 65 years and upwards is 4.0 per 1,000 living.
Deaths in Public Institutions.—There were 1,566 deaths in
public institutions in the Borough during 1911; of these 779 were
residents of other districts, and the remaining 787 were residents
of Hackney.
The following lists give the names of the institutions within
the Borough, receiving persons both from and without the Borough,
and also the institutions outside the Borough receiving sick and
infirm persons from the Borough, with the number of deaths of
Hackney residents in each institution during the year 1911.
