Enteric Fever.
During 1911, 20 cases of enteric fever were notified in the
Borough of Battersea as compared with 41 in 1910 and 48 in 1909.
Three deaths were registered from the disease giving a case mortality
of 15 per cent. and a death-rate per 1,000 population of
0.02. The number of deaths in 1910 was 7.
This was the lowest number of cases and deaths recorded
in the Old Parish and Borough of Battersea since 1891, and is a
most satisfactory feature to be able to record of the Borough
statistics.
