Seven hundred and ten samples were taken officially official samples
under the provisions of the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts.
Fifty-four samples were taken on delivery from samles taken on
wholesale firms, or at railway stations, or other places. delivery.
Fifty-one samples were taken informally or privately, Samples taken informally
and submitted for special examination to the Clinical informally.

various kinds were privately examined in the Laboratory the Town
at the Town Hall by Mr. Bilham, who, as Members know, Laboratory,
possesses some considerable practical knowledge in connection

In Appendix G will be found particulars relating to Appendix G,Unsound
unsound food both surrendered and seized, the total of food
which amounts to about 2¾ tons, and in this connection
it is only necessary to say that the steady and systematic
inspection of the markets has been continued throughout
the year by Inspector Rowsell, with able assistance from
Inspector Ainley, and other Officers of the Staff.
In Appendix H (1) are particulars relating to the Appendix H,(1,2)
inspection of premises where food is prepared for sale, inspection of
food premises
and their technical classification as to Factories, Workshops,
or Workplaces.
In H (2) will be found similar details relating to the ice cream Shops.
supervision of Ice-Cream Shops within the Borough.
