An additional clerk, who was much needed, was
appointed in the Public Health Department in October
last, and the Council have resolved to appoint an
additional Sanitary Inspector to deal with certain
selected areas as recommended in my report on the
condition of Heckfield Place. The need for the appointment
of a Health Visitor has been urged in my remarks
dealing with infant mortality.
I again wish to express my high appreciation of the
assistance I have received from all the members of the
staff of the Public Health Department.
I am, Sir and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
J. CHARLES JACKSON,
Medical Officer of Health.
April, 1914.
