Unsound Food.
The stalls and shops where food is sold or prepared
for sale were regularly inspected by your Sanitary
Inspectors.
The following articles examined at the request of
the owners were condemned and destroyed:—
8 boxes of Fish
2 sacks of Shellfish
3 boxes of Fruit
26 Geese.
Kitchens of Restaurants and Coffee Houses.
These have been systematically inspected and 14
notices were served on the occupiers on account of want
of cleanliness.
Sanitary Regulations for premises used for sale or
preparation for sale of food.
Proceedings under section 8 of the County Council
(General Powers) Act, 1908, which prescribes sanitary
regulations for premises used for the sale, etc., of food,
were taken against a butcher in Town mead Road, in
respect of the filthy condition of a room in which meat
and bread intended for the manufacture of sausages were
stored, and the defendant was fined £1 and 2s. costs.
