SANITARY STAFF.
The Chief Clerk of the Public Health Department,
Mr. George Clarke, who had been in the service of the
Council since 1891, died suddenly in July last. In his
place the Council appointed Mr. A. Hurford, who had
been Junior Clerk in the Department since 1907, and Mr.
T. H. Robey was selected for the latter post.
