In connection with these defects, 524 intimation notices and
108 statutory notices were served.
Infectious Disease.—Notice was received of the occurrence
of 3 cases of infectious disease (scarlet fever, diphtheria, and
typhoid fever) in the homes of out-workers and of workers
employed in Finsbury and resident in other districts. These were
inquired into and suitable precautions adopted.
