The Lady Health Visitors are instructed to pay special attention
to all births which occur in these streets where the infant
deaths are highest and to visit every birth occurring in them.
DEATHS FROM INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
The number of deaths certified as due to the infectious diseases,
named in the accompanying table, in 1909 was 232.
The corresponding death rate was 2.4 per 1,000; the rate for
the whole of London was 1.3, so that the death rate in Finsbury
from infectious disease was nearly twice as great as that prevailing
in London generally.
