Senile Mortality.—The deaths which occurred in the Borough
at 65 years and upwards numbered 886, and of these 405 occurred
between the ages of 65 and 75 years, 377 between the ages of 75
and 85 years, and 104 were at the ages of 85 years and upwards.
The annual mortality rate of persons of 65 years and upwards is
3.7 per 1,000 persons living.
Deaths in Public Institutions.—There were 1,282 deaths in
public institutions in the Borough during 1909; of these 442 were
residents of other districts, and the remaining 840 were residents
of Hackney.
The following lists give the institutions within the Borough,
receiving persons both from and without the Borough, and also
the institutions outside the Borough receiving sick and infirm
persons from the Borough, with the number of deaths in each
institution during the year 1909.
