The disinfection and cleansing done each month of the year is
set out in the following table.

(c) Articles of Clothing and Furniture.—The number of
articles under this head disinfected at the Millfields Road Disinfecting
Station was 21,669. This disinfection is accomplished by means
of high pressure saturated steam. The number of articles thus
dealt with was 2,665 more than during the previous year.
In addition to these there were 136 articles destroyed on request
from the owners. These are set out in the following table:—
