DEATH RATE.
Upon the population of Bethnal Green, as estimated
by the Registrar-General, we shew a mortality for the
year 1910 of 15.23 per thousand; but as I am of opinion
that our population has been over-estimated for several
years past, the actual mortality is probably somewhat
higher.
This recorded death rate of 15.23 is 1.5 below the
calculated death rate of the previous year, which was
16.73; but it is two points and a half above the rate for
the whole of London, which is 12.71 per thousand.
MORTALITY RATES IN SUB-DISTRICTS.
The death rate in the North-East sub-district was
14.9, and that in the South-West was 15.1. These
rates take no account of the deaths of homeless persons
in the Infirmary, as it is impossible to allocate them to
districts.
