From this return it will be seen that Islington does not compare
unfavourably with the neighbouring great sanitary authorities. Indeed when
one considers how it is circumscribed, its density of population, and the
large number of its schools, it is hardly too much to say that its health, as
judged by the notifications, is very good.
In previous reports a statement of the number of cases of each disease
that were notified since 1891 have been given, but as the great majority of the
present Council have not had an opportunity of studying them, they are set
out again.
