INQUESTS AND MORTUARY.
During the year 625 bodies were received into the Mortuary, as against
an average of 726 in the preceding 10 years.
The present return is the lowest recorded within this period.
It was necessary to hold 419 inquests on these bodies, as compared with an average of 437 in the 10 years 1895-1904 and with 424 in 1904.
