The illegitimate births, which number 56, occurred in the
several Wards, as follows:—

MARRIAGES.
The number of marriages registered during the year was 606,
as compared with 742 during the previous year.
There were 519 in Churches of England, and
87 in Chapels and Roman Catholic Churches.
