Food Inspection.

No seizures of unsound and diseased food were made during the year, but the following articles were voluntarily surrendered to the inspectors. In no case had any attempt been made to sell the food.

Slaughter Houses.
There are five slaughter houses in the Borough, and these have
been regularly inspected during the year, the number of inspections
made being 117.
On the 8th October, the annual inspection by the Public Health
Committee was made, in view of the approach of the licensing
session, as a result of which it was decided that no opposition should
be offered to any of the licenses.
The following is a list of the existing slaughter houses in the
Borough:—
40, England's Lane; 17, High Street; 69, High Street; 242,
Belsize Road; 6, Fairfax Mews.
Milk Supply.
The number of persons in Hampstead registered as purveyors
of milk is 93, and the number of premises on which milk is sold is 114.
