The total number of persons married in Hampstead during 1907
was 1292, which is equivalent to a rate of 14.2 per 1000 of the
population, and is an increase on that for the year 1906, when the
marriages of 1156 persons were registered, equivalent to a rate of
12.9 per 1000 of the population.

BIRTHS.
During the year, 1,341 births were registered, a decrease of 96
as compared with the number, 1,437, registered in the previous year.
Of the total births, 703 were of male, and 638 of female children.
