Cases Nos. 2, 3, and 4 were a mother and her two children.
In respect of the other cases of enteric fever notified during the
year, no specimens were taken for one or other of the following reasons:—
(1) On discharge from M.A.B. hospital the patient did not return to
Chelsea; (2) Case ended fatally in hospital; (3) Case not treated in
M.A.B. hospital.
Removals to Hospitals.—Table XVIII. exhibits the removals of
patients suffering from scarlet fever, diphtheria, and enteric fever, to the
M.A.B. and other hospitals, in each of the 21 years, 1890—1910, expressed
as percentages of the total number of cases of each disease notified.
