(2) Outworkers.
The total number of lists received during the year amounted to 72,
containing the names and addresses of 680 outworkers. This was an
increase of 16 lists on the number sent in during 1906. Of the total
number of outworkers notified by Chelsea firms only 135 (i.e., about 20
per cent.) live in the Borough, which is the same proportion as for last year.
The majority of the remaining outworkers live in adjoining Boroughs.
Names and addresses were forwarded in all to 34 different Boroughs or
District Councils, as follows:—
