COMPLAINTS.
Seventy-five complaints were received and examined. Of
these, 54 were verified and dealt with ; 21 were not established on
investigation. Thirty-one of the letters were anonymous.
One special complaint alleged that the only drinking water
supplied to girls in a workshop was the luke-warm water derived
from the condenser of a steam engine. It was stated that the
