The corresponding rate of the County of London was 1.3
per 1,000, and in the metropolitan boroughs the rates ranged
from 0.5 in Hampstead to 2.7 in Bermondsey.
In Table XIII. will be found the number of deaths from
each of the principal epidemic diseases in 1909 and the ten
preceding years, and in Table XIV. the death-rates from
them per 1,000 of the estimated population of each ward
in 1909.
