Report on the health of the Metropolitan Borough of Battersea for the year 1908

The total number of cases of notifiable infectious diseases
reported during 1908 was 172 in excess of that notified in 1907, the
excess being almost entirely due to Scarlet Fever, which was very
prevalent in the Borough during the year. Notwithstanding this
increase, it is satisfactory to be able to record that the death rate
from these diseases was less than in 1907.
No case of Small-pox was notified during 1908 in Battersea.
