Deaths.
The total number of deaths registered in the Borough of
Battersea during the year 1907 was 2,431, as compared with
2,425 during 1906, and a yearly average of 2,849.7 in the old
Parish of Battersea for the decennium 1891-1900. Of the total
2,431 deaths, 1,223 were males and 1,208 females, showing an
excess of 15 males.
The death-rate for Battersea is, therefore, 13.37 per
1,000 inhabitants, as compared with 14.9 for London.
