reported and dealt with was 1,620, a rate of 12.2 per
thousand on the estimated population.
Table 111 in the appendix indicates the number of
persons suffering from each disease; it also shews the
sub-district in which such persons resided, and the
number (1,309) of those removed to hospital.
In ninety-seven instances information was received
from one of the Medical Superintendents of the
Metropolitan Asylums Board Hospitals to the effect
that the diagnosis as stated on the notification
certificate was incorrect, a proportion of nearly six
per cent, on the whole number.
Table "O" gives full details of all the notifications.
