PUBLIC HEALTH LEGISLATION, SESSION 1907.
London County Council General Powers Act 1907.
Part IV Milk Supply.
Section 24, Under powers conferred bv this section
the County Council Medical Officer, or other authorized
person may take samples of milk for examination
within the County, including Railway Stations of milk
intended for sale within the County. The Council
may if they think fit confer similar powers upon the
Medical Officer of any Sanitary Authority.

particular cow is suffering from tuberculosis of the
udder, he may require that cow to be milked in his
presence for the purpose of having a bacteriological

such examination he is of opinion that tuberculosis
is likely to be caused from the consumption of such
milk, an order may be made by the Council forbidding
the Dairy-man to supply milk within the County from
any specified cow or cows until the order has been
withdrawn.
These powers may be exercised outside the

to be given to the Medical Officer of the County within
which the district is situated. Other sections make
