NOTIFICATION CERTIFICATES.
The notification certificates received refer to a total
of 1,894 persons. Table III in the appendix indicates
the number of persons suffering from each disease ;
it also shews the sub-district in which persons had
resided and the number (1,572) of these removed to
hospital.
In 139 instances information was received from one
of the Medical Superintendents of the Metropolitan
Asylums Board Hospitals that the diagnosis as stated
on the notification certificate was incorrect, a proportion
of seven per cent, on the whole number. One
certificate was cancelled owing to the Doctor having
notified the same case a second time. Table "P"
gives full details of all the notifications.
