SHELTER FOR TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION
DURING DISINFECTION.
The Shelter in Golden Lane, Barbican, provided in accordance with Sec. 60
(4) of the Public Health (London) Act, 1891, which enacts that" sanitary
"authorities shall provide free of charge temporary shelter or house
"accommodation with necessary attendants for the members of any family
"in which any dangerous infectious disease has appeared, for the purpose of
"enabling such dwellings to be disinfected by the sanitary authority," has
been visited by 10 families during the year. They numbered 33 persons, of
which 17 were adults and 16 were children, and who were housed during the
disinfection of the houses after—
