As in 1903 there was again last year a decrease recorded in the proportion
of diseased meat seized, but the figure is still above the average percentage for
the preceding five years. There was a farther increase in the proportion of
meat seized as putrid and "unwholesome," the percentage being 2.4 and 0.5
respectively higher than the corresponding figures for 1903.
