ENTERIC FEVER.
Only 18 deaths were returned, as compared with an annual average of 46
in the nineteen years 1885-1903. The return is the lowest hitherto recorded,
the nearest approach being that of the preceding year (1903) when 22 deaths
were entered.
These returns are extremely satisfactory in view of the fact that the
disease is peculiarly amenable to sanitation.
The deaths occurred at the following age periods :—
0.5 | 1 or 0.03 per 1,000 living at this age. |
