Wards.—The densities here also vary considerably, ranging from the
lowest to the highest as follows:—Mildmay 74 persons per acre, Tufnell
79, Highbury 84, Lower Holloway 101, Tollington 110, Canonbury 111,
St. Mary 117 Upper Holloway 121, Barnsbury 152, Thornhill 194, and
St. Peter 211.
When considering the death-rates of the various areas, it is well to have
the preceding particulars respecting them in view, so as to appreciate the due
significance of the figures.
