INQUESTS AND MORTUARY.
During the year 660 bodies were received into the Mortuary of which 3
were taken there because the deceased had suffered from infectious diseases.
The return is the lowest since 1889 when 613 bodies were removed thither.
The coroner found it necessary to hold 424 inquests as compared with 393 in 1903, and with an average of 433 in the ten years immediately preceding.
