INQUESTS AND MORTUARY.
During the year 660 bodies were received into the Mortuary of which 3
were taken there because the deceased had suffered from infectious diseases.
The return is the lowest since 1889 when 613 bodies were removed thither.

Table: The coroner found it necessary to hold 424 inquests as compared with 393 in 1903, and with an average of 433 in the ten years immediately preceding.
