CUSTOMS AND INLAND REVENUE ACT, 1890. The following is a list of premises which have been certified by me during the year, under Section 26 of this Act, together with the date of certification:—

16th July1-24, The Flats, Grove Place24The Medical Officer of Health reported that the w.c.'s were, in his opinion, approached directly from the sculleries where food was prepared and stored. The Public Health Committee inspected the premises and came to the conclusion that no actual infringement of the bye-law existed.
5th December3, Belsize Crescent2Certain sanitary defects were found to exist, which the Owner remedied.

Applications were also made in the case of 4 other premises comprising
15 dwellings, which, owing to the existence of sanitary defects,
I was unable to grant.
FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year, 366 samples were taken for analysis, and of these,
14, or 3.8 per cent., were found to be adulterated.
