G. Defective Sewer (belonging to the Council):—
Running alongside the School buildings. [This sewer is
being relaid.]
The drains have been tested with chemical, but no result
obtained inside the premises.
I visited the Schools with Dr. Fletcher Little, the Consulting
Medical Officer to the Schools, on October 6th.
The sanitary arrangements require rearranging and bringing up
to modern requirements, whilst the (what can only be described
as a mo;t extraordinary) arrangement of combined lavatory and
bathrooms must be stopped forthwith.
All suspicion of overcrowding must be removed.
Joseph Priestley.
