Effects of Vaccination.—Among the vaccinated cases, which numbered
201, there were 29 deaths, or 14.4 per cent.
Among the unvaccinated cases, which numbered 64, there were 23
deaths, or 36*0 per cent.
Among the 11 cases in which the state of vaccination could not be
ascertained, there was 1 death, or 9.0 per cent.
In the entire epidemic 317 cases were notified.
Among the vaccinated cases, of which there were 236, 29 died, or I2'3 per
cent.
Among the unvaccinated cases, of which there were 65, 30 died, or 46.2
per cent.
Among the 16 cases whose state as to vaccination could not be ascertained
there were 2 deaths, or I2'5 per cent.
This epidemic was dealt with fully in a series of reports which have been
duly presented to the Council, and which were printed on the minutes. The
final report is printed as an appendix.
