Sir,
I have much pleasure in submitting my report to you for the year ending the 3rd January,
1903. During that time I have visited 4,664 places of business, consisting of factories, workshops
and workrooms in the Borough, having made 1,917 inspections and 2,747 re-inspections. These
include the following trades:—313 tailors, 147 shoemakers, 259 pianoforte makers, 35 cycle makers'
1,093 bakehouses, and 2,817 miscellaneous business places. These consist of:—
