own district monthly, and once a quarter takes a number of
"special" samples in the evening and on Sundays at irregular
hours. Thirty-eight of the samples of milk taken, or 10.9 per cent.,
were found to be adulterated. This shows a marked reduction in
percentage of adulteration. In 1904 the figure was 13.9, and in
1903, 16.7. The following Table shows the results obtained during
the last ten years:—
