The tables on pages 144-146 have been drawn up by the
Secretary of State, "for the guidance and convenience of
Medical Officers of Health in preparing that part of their
annual report which relates to factories, workshops, workplaces
and home work." It is intended "to provide for
uniformity in the presentation of such particulars as lend
themselves to statistical treatment."
