Duties and Powers of the Public Health Committee.
1.—The Committee shall consist of ten members.
2.—To consider and report to the Council on all matters affecting
the Public Health of the Borough not within the reference
of any other Committee.
3.—To exercise the powers of the Council under the Public
Health (London) Act, 1891 (with the exception of all
matters connected with the collection of House Refuse),
and the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts.
4.—To exercise the powers of the Council in enforcing the
By-laws and Regulations for the time being in force with
respect to dairies, cowsheds, and milkshops, and with
respect to slaughter-houses, knackers' yards, and offensive
businesses.
5.—The Committee shall report its proceedings to the Council.
