SLAUGHTER HOUSES.
There are six slaughter houses in the Borough; and forty-two
visits have been made to these premises. They are all in a
satisfactory condition. No notices were served, and all the
licences were renewed at the sessions.
A licence held for many years by Mrs. Terry, at 416, Bethnal
Green Road, was allowed to lapse ; the premises are now used as
a fishmongers and fish curing establishment.
COW HOUSES.
There are nineteen cowsheds in the occupation of sixteen
persons in the Borough. The premises were visited 95 times;
no licence was opposed by us, but the County Council Inspector
objected to the renewal of Mrs. Griffiths' licence at No. 6,
Warley Street, on the ground that "The shed is badly situated
and is in aerial communication with the house, no open yard
being provided." The licence was granted on condition that the
doorway between the shed and the house was bricked up.
