FACTORY AND WORKSHOP ACT.
in May last year, the Council appointed Miss J. Brown,
B.A., as Sanitary Inspector, who has been mainly employed
since her appointment in the supervision of laundries and other
workshops where women are employed, and in the inspection of
the premises of out-workers. Miss Brown has succeeded in
doing most excellent work and has thoroughly justified her
appointment.
The following is a summary of the work done in connection
with the inspection of factories, workshops, and workplaces, in
tabular form, as suggested by His Majesty's Chief Inspector of
Factories.
