SCARLET FEVER.
404 cases of Scarlet Fever were notified during the year,
the disease being less prevalent than in any year since 1895.
The returns for the four quarters were:—

Fatality.—The disease was of a mild type, the 8 deaths
representing a case mortality of 2 per cent., being the lowest
yet recorded in Fulham.
369, or 91.4 per cent. of the patients notified, were removed
to hospital.
Return Cases. —20 cases occurred within 14 days of the
return of a child living in the same house from one of the
hospitals of the Metropolitan Asylums Board after recovering
from a similar attack.
