Scarlet Fever in Fulham and the adjoining Boroughs.
The following table shows the comparative prevalence of
Scarlet Fever in Fulham, the adjoining boroughs and London
during the last 10 years.

Diphtheria.
There was a decline of the prevalence of this disease in
1902, 417 cases being notified, and 12 of Membranous Croup,
which is identical with Laryngeal Diphtheria, compared with
636 of Diphtheria and 8 of Membranous Croup in 1901, and the
incidence rate was the lowest recorded since 1893.

Fatality.—The disease was more fatal than in 1901, 51
deaths being recorded, giving a case mortality of 11.9 per cent,
as against 7.5 per cent, in the previous year.
