DEATHS AT VARIOUS AGES.
Under one year, the mortality was 133, a decrease of 22 as compared
with the previous year.
This decrease is accounted for by a diminished mortality from
Whooping Cough, Enteritis, Pneumonia, and other causes.

Infantile Death Rate.
The deaths under one year were 133, or 87.7 per 1000 births, a
figure lower than that for the year 1901, when the rate was 102. The
rate for England and Wales during 1902 was 133.
The following table shows the Infantile Death Rate for Hampstead
as compared with the County of London, the City of London, and the
other Metropolitan Boroughs :—
