Table V. shows the percentages of deaths at different age
periods to total deaths, and although not so valuable as a table
showing the percentages to persons living at the different ages
yet it has a value of its own. We see that a much smaller proportion
of deaths under 1 year has occurred in the last 3 years
as compared with most of the former years included in this table,
a proportion nearly approaching that for the 10 years 1856.65,
