Notification of Infections Diseases.

The following Table gives the number and nature of the cases notified under Sections 55 and 56 of the Public Health Ac1 during the 53 weeks ended January 2nd, 1897, and indicates also where the same received treatment :

The amount paid to the Medical practitioners for tarnishing
the above Certificates amounted to £.58 15s. 0d. For the year
1895 the sum of £37 10s. 6d. was paid. The Vestry is recouped
for this expenditure by the Metropolitan Asylums Hoard (out
of the Metropolitan Common Poor Fund), to which Board a
copy of each certificate is sent within 12 hours of the receipt of
the same.
Disinfection of Infected Articles.
Representations of the unsatisfactory nature of the disinfection
performed by the Apparatus belonging to your
Vestry having been made on several occasions, I was requested
