Mortuary.
39 bodies were received into the mortuary, of which 28
were resident in the district, and 16 non-resident.

It is with much satisfaction that I note that a larger proportion of
the cases notified have been removed to Hospital, and it is to
be hoped that the great privilege of gratuitous treatment in the
Hospitals of the Metropolitan Asylums Board will be more and more
availed of by those who unfortunately have infectious disease present
in their families. It is impossible to over estimate the value of such a
proceeding to the patients themselves, for the advantage of skilled
medical treatment both by night and by day, in well equipped and
