To the Board of Works for the Wandsworth District.
Gentlemen,
We have the honour to present our Annual Report
on the health, sanitary condition, and vital statistics of
the Wandsworth District for the year 1893.
The general arrangement will be found to conform
with Reports of former years, and in presenting it wo
draw your attention with satisfaction to the indications
it gives of the progress made in the sanitation of the
district.
We would also record our deep regret at the loss
of our late colleague, Dr. Edward Nicholas, Medical
Officer of Health for Wandsworth, who had held the
appointment since the first creation of the Board, and
was one of the first Medical Officers of Health appointed
in London, and whose kindly readiness to help, and ripe
experience will long be much missed by us.
